Here is an example of proficient writing.
I chose the poem “Choosing Shoes,” by Ffrida Wolfe, because I like how she uses alliteration. For example, she says, “Dandy-dance-by-night shoes” and “Pretty pointy-toe shoes.” I also like it more because it has lots of interesting words and sounds like a kid’s rap song. Finally, I like it more because it is about having to find the shoe that you want out of millions. “Choosing Shoes” is the clear winner!
May the best poem win!

ReplyDeleteI think Roger The Dog should win. I like how there is a lot of imagery. For example, when the poem says “He’ll work as hard as you could wish emptying his dinner dish.” I pictured a dog at the starting line of a race and a bowl of food at the finish line. In my mind I saw him training to win the race just to get his food. There was also a rhyme scheme. The rhyme scheme was AABBCCDDEEFFGGHH. Here are two examples of rhymes. Deep and sleep and wish and dish. I like Roger The Dog more.

I think roger the dog should when because it is really interesting how it puts a good image in your head,so it has good imagery.I think a lot of people could relate to.I think that the author took along time to make this poem.It is really funny and interesting about the dog named roger for how lazy he is.I definetly recommend roger the dog it's a great poem.
ReplyDeleteI think Roger the Dog should win because in the text it says that Roger sleeps a lot, and I like sleeping too. According to the text, it says Roger only wakes up to scratch his fleas, and I can’t go to sleep when I have an itch. The author states that Roger sleeps really hard after a long day, and so do I. Also I get really hungry during the day, and so does Roger. Thank you for reading this!
