Here is an example of proficient writing.
I chose the poem “Choosing Shoes,” by Ffrida Wolfe, because I like how she uses alliteration. For example, she says, “Dandy-dance-by-night shoes” and “Pretty pointy-toe shoes.” I also like it more because it has lots of interesting words and sounds like a kid’s rap song. Finally, I like it more because it is about having to find the shoe that you want out of millions. “Choosing Shoes” is the clear winner!
May the best poem win!

Then Casey got struck out. There are also thirteen Quatrains! There was also a lot of Imagery. I could really make a movie reading “Casey at the Bat”. There was a lot of rhyming throughout the poem. The poem that I think should win is the eagle because it has way more meaning and way more sense than the other poem. The text evadentest is also really good for example the rhyme scheme is AAABBB. There is also a simile that is, “And like a thunderbolt he falls.” There is also some personification for example, He clasps the crag with his crooked hands.

I think the winner should be Dust of Snow. In my opinion I thought Dust of snow should win because it was a great story about how even the worst of the days one little thing can make it better. I also liked it cause I can make connections. Lowell
ReplyDeleteI choose Casey at bat because it's really funny and relatable because nobody is perfect. Casey is really cocky and full of himself so when he struck he was a crying because he let everybody down. The author did a good job of inserting hyperboles in clever ways, For example it says his yell rumbled in the mountaintops.
ReplyDelete- Huck Sullivan
I chose Casey at the bat because its fun I can relate to it. For example I played it in my yard and I kept striking out and my brother kept scoring. I think Casey is conceited and flashy and he does not strike so he can act really cool and better than every one.
