Turkey Traditions

Dear students,
Holidays are usually incorporated with traditions. The Peanuts gang started a tradition of eating around their ping pong table.

Does your family have any special traditions for Thanksgiving? If so, describe your traditions. If not, what traditions would you like to start up this year?

Be sure to include:
  • a topic sentence
  • supporting details
  • complete sentences
  • correct spelling, capitalization (M.I.N.T.S.), and end punctuation.
  • a closing sentence

Happy blogging,
Mrs. Eads

A TURKEY TRADITION for my family is that me and my cousins Haley (16), Elsie (12), their dad Keith, their mom Julie, my grandparents, my brother Huck (8), my mom and dad go to our house in Mcminnville, TN and we watch Christmas Vacation to start December! We also let Julie and Keith cook Turkey and me, Huck, Elsie, and Haley make home-made mashed potatoes. Then my mom makes rolls and turkey gravy/sauce! Then we listen to Christmas music and we put up the Christmas tree! EVERY YEAR I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS HOLIDAY BECAUSE< I GET TO SEE MY FAMILY AND SPEND TIME WITH THEM!!!

  8. A Thanksgiving tradition that we do every year is my cousins always come to my house and we never go to theirs. Every time they come they always bring donuts for breakfast and my dad, my uncle, and my grandpa watch football. My mom and my aunt always talk. I have two cousins. The younger one Lucy usually plays with me and my sister and my older cousin just reads. This is what they do every Thanksgiving.

  9. The tradition that we do is we have Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day at a relative's house. We have rolls, green bean casserole, turkey, and the kids always go upstairs and play a game called store where you pretend you have your own store and you sell your items to get more items from the other store’s. Sometimes, we play outside on the lawn. And after that, we say goodbye to each other and go home.

    Love,
    Cooper

  22. If my family had a family tradition it would be that we get together with our family and have a big Thanksgiving dinner. First we would eat all the turkey, corn bread, mashed potatoes and pumkin pie. All the kids would play outside on the trampoline and in the yard, we would play man hunt, hide and seek, and sharks and minos. After that we would go to a place and pray and thanks god for what he has done for us. Finally everyone would leave and we would have to clean up the whole house and clean all the dishes.
