I think Roger The Dog is about a lazy dog who likes eating food and sleeping, and when he is taken outside, he likes rubbing in the mud. I think The Falling Star is about a wishing star that glides across the sky and and someone sees it, then blinks, and it is gone. They were also talking about how it was "Too good to be bought or sold", and how precious it was, and I think they're right! My favorite poem is The falling star, because it was telling about something that the person loved, and they used lots of descriptive words.

My favorite poem is going to have to be Roger the Dog. I love it because the writer really tells you what the dog does when the owner wants him to be active. I also love this poem because I really love dogs!
I think that Roger the Dog is about a very lazy dog who only likes to sleep and eat, just like a newborn baby. The owner wants the dog as a friend and does not care that the dog is so lazy.
ReplyDeleteThe Falling Star paints a picture in my mind of a clear starry night sky.The star is almost like blowing out a birthday candle. The star lasts as long as a birthday candle, and then it fades away.
My favorite poem is The Falling Star, because it is describing a beautiful part of nature. Although both poems rhyme, The Falling Star speaks to me more because I am more of a nature girl than an animal loving one.
I think Roger The Dog is about a lazy dog, who just loves to sleep a lot, and the boy wants to go have fun with him and the dog just wants lay down. I think the Falling star is child who wishes upon a falling star and when he blinks it is gone. My favorite was roger the dog because it was pretty funny and I like how the dog liked to sleep all day. It also reminds me of my dog.

I think the Falling Star is about a child who whishes upon a falling star and when he blinkes and opens his eyes the Falling Star is gone. Also I think of the sky of a stary night. I think the winner is Roger The Dog, because it is funny and the author Ted Hughes really made me feel like I was in that sceen and it was very alive. I thought that it was funny how the dog slept all day and didn't want to wake up. I really like this poem and it reminds me of my dog when he is really tired.

I think The Falling Star is about a kid that sees a beautiful star pass by. The kid makes a wish and then he does not see the star again. My winner is Roger the Dog because I thought is was funny how the dog did not do anything all day long. Ted Hughes really painted a picture in my mind all through the story.

The Falling Star is about a falling star that is so beautiful but then a second after the person sees it, it is nowhere to be seen. ReplyDeleteThis Is about a shooting star that goes really fast and they never stop. A shooting star is really bright like if, you put a phone on bright close to your I eye that is how bright it is. the boy also wish upon the shooting star and then it is just gone.
My favorite was Roger the dog because it gave me laughter when the dog was lazy and would just be happy to eat and nap. I thought is was fun how he did not like to have fun and exercise.
I think that Rodger the Dog is about a dog who is really lazy. He loves to sleep and eat. I also think that Rodger's owner wants to play outside with him, but he will just try and sleep.

I liked Rodger the Dog better because I thought it was really funny that he loved to eat and sleep, and he was not a very athletic dog. Rodger also reminds me a little bit of my own dog and I love dogs.
I think Roger The Dog is about an old dog that is to old to do anything but sleep and eat. This reminds me of my dog. He is a lot like Roger. At their age I think they deserve to be a little lazy.

Roger The Dog and The Falling Star were both great poems but my favorite is Roger The Dog. I like Roger The Dog best because it reminds me of our dog and I like that this poem is telling everyone that the old fellows need a little break.
I think Roger The Dog is about a dog who is very lazy and he only gets up to do things he really has to do. Like drink water. That is just about the opposite of my dog Pippa. Pippa is a German Shepherd and is always very bouncy. I think The Falling star is about some one who saw a very bright and beautiful falling star. I think the message is to look at thing while they last. I like Roger The Dog the best. It is my favorite because I like the way it sounds. I also like it because I can visualize what Roger is doing.

Roger The Dog is a poem about the day and night of a dog. The poem talks about how the dog eats, sleeps and rolls around outside. Roger does not seem to have to do a lot during the day. When some people read this they may want to live the life of a dog. I like this poem because it makes me think of my dogs.

Out of the two poems Roger the Dog is my favorite because it is fun and silly.
