For your final blog post of the year, I would like for you to write about your favorites from 4th grade. I would love to know what you liked doing best this year and what advice you would give to the new fourth graders next year. In your post, please answer the following questions.

My favorite reading unit was the poem one I liked that it was in the march madness form. The best book I read this year is Mrs. Frisbee and the Rats of Nimh. Even though we haven't finished it I already love it. I liked the fantasy Christmas story.
ReplyDeleteI learned a lot of spelling this year in language arts. To never quit on anything even if it is difficult for you. I hope that next year that my handwriting will get better.

my favorite reading unit was when we read thomas. the best book i read was Thomas in danger. i loved writing songs.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite reading unit this year is Historical Fiction because I like learning about people in the Revolutionary War and what it was like. The best book I read this year was Blended because it was very interesting and dramatic. I liked the Christmas writing project because I made a really creative story, and I enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIn language arts learned how to get better at spelling by studying. Some advice I would like to give the next fourth graders is to study and listen so you can get better. A goal I have for next year is to improve on my stories I write.

My favorite reading unit was the historical fiction because I the book Thomas in danger. My favorite book I read was Bad Dad. I loved the realistic fiction project the best.

My favorite reading unit was when we did when we did our poster for our Revolutionary War person because we got more freedom for decoration. The best book I read this year was the new Whatever After book. I like the persuasive letter in the beginning of the year because we could do whatever we wanted.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to organize a poem properly. My advice would be to just keep trying because so things were difficult but if you try to make the best of it and it can actually be really fun! My goal is to ask questions and try to make the best of all of my assignments.

My favorite reading unit was the Christmas storys. My favorite book I read this year was Diary of a Wimpy kid.My favorite writing project was when we made the Revolutionary War posters.

My favorite reading unit was the realistic fiction unit because realistic fiction is really fun to right about because it puts the reader in someone's life . The best book was “Real Friends” because it makes you laugh . I liked writing a song unit i liked it because you could write your own song .
ReplyDeleteWhat I learned better was spelling i have gotten a 100 on a spelling test because i studied . The advice is Miss Eads is a good teacher. You will learn alot with her . My goal is to read a 4 day long book .

My favorite reading unit is Historical fiction because I liked reading Thomas in Danger. My best book I read this year was I survived the battle of D-Day 1944 because it is about Paul in World War 2. My favorite writing unit was Realistic fiction because I liked writing about a story that could happen.
ReplyDeleteI learned something new in Language Arts, it was DLR I never knew there was a DLR in fourth grade it got me smarter what to fix in sentences. My advice is never forget to do your homework because you sit out for recess. My goal next year is to is to read more books every month. Michael

ReplyDeleteMy favorite reading unit was poems Because we got to do poetry madness,also we got to read many good poems, lastly it lead into our song writing unit.
The best book I am reading right now: Finding Gobi. This book is about a little dog that a man finds while running a marathon through the Gobi Desert. They begin to bond a forever lasting friendship that lead them through struggle and victory. My favorite reading project was The Song project because it was fun to write about, you could also be creative,and most of all we got to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame!
I learned that you must always study for a spelling test because you will get a better score on a spelling test, and if you don’t study it’s not likely you will get a good score. My advice is to always study for a spelling test because you don’t automatically know all the words, also you are likely to get a better score if you study. My goals for next year are to Improve my spelling and grammar.

My favorite reading unit was when we did all the different kinds of genres. My favorite series I read this year was the Alex Rider series. My favorite writing projects I did this year was my essays and realistic fiction story.
ReplyDeleteI learned to do better with where I put my commas. I would say to new fourth graders that it isn’t as hard as you think it is. A goal for myself next year is to do good on ERBS.

My favorite reading unit this year was the American Revolution because I really like learning about the Revolution. My favorite book this year was Escape from Mr. Lemoncellos Library , that is the first book of the series. Now I’m on the 4th book of the series. My favorithe writing project I did this year was the poster I did about James Monroe , I really enjoyed it because James Monroe’s life was cool.
ReplyDeleteIn Language Arts I learned how to be a better writer including how to do a thesis, a counter argument , and adding lot more details to my writing. The advice I’d give to a rising 4th grader would be to practice all the different skills in ixl language arts , study and pay a lot of attention in class, and practice thesis statements and all that other fun stuff. A goal that I have next year is to work as hard as I can , do any extra credit projects, and shoot for any 4’s you can get.

My favorite reading reading unit was when we did our first book club. The best book I read this year was the third book of Harry Potter. I really liked the Christmas writing.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to use commas and apostrophes correctly. My advice would be, do not go to the Puffy while the teacher is teaching. A goal for me next year is to do better in science.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite reading unit was the book club unit. The best book I read this year would probably be Emily Windsnap. I thought that emily WIndsnap had a lot of juiciness in it I could really get in the zone.My favorite writing project when I did the song writing unit because I like to write songs. I am sort of am a singer songwriter.
I liked learning to draft things and to write faster. I would give the fourth graders advies to listen then you would not be able to know what to do. A goal I have next year is to read 5 chapter books and to do better at math.

My favorite reading unit is when we did book clubs because it is fun to talk and read about books. My favorite book is Rain Reign this is my favorite book because it has a real story. My favorite writing project was the songs because it was about my favorite animal.

My favorite reading unit was reading the biographies because I enjoyed learning about all of the different people. The best book I read this year was Skulduggery Pleasant. My favorite writing unit was the realistic fiction unit. I liked how you didn’t have to write about something super crazy in a short amount of time.
ReplyDeleteI learned how to use commas and conjunctions correctly. I would tell fourth graders to give people the benefit of the doubt. A goal that I have for next year is to get my homework done before, rather than after dinner.

I loved reading and writing this year! My favorite reading unit was when we did the character book club. The best book I read this year either Twenty and Ten, Friendle, or Harry Potter. Last but not least I really enjoyed the the song writing unit, and writing about the American Revolution.
ReplyDeleteI have learned so much this year and I'm really proud of myself. I have really learned how to make a persuasive essay. Also how to feel very confident when I take test. If I was giving advice to a upcoming 4rth grader I would say to try your best and never give up. My goal for next year is to become a better reader.

My favorite writing unit is songwriting because it was the style I listen to. My favorite book this year was Weirdo. My favorite writing product was the Realistic Fiction story because it was fun to do.

The favorite unit I had was historical fiction. I liked this unit because of all the fun book clubs we did with Thomas in Danger. The favorite book I read this year is Percy Jackson and the Olympians the Lightning Thief. I liked this book because of the amazing characters and the fun Greek mythology. I liked the Revolutionary War essay. I liked it because I really enjoy studying history. History is one of my favorite subjects.
I learned to place commas. I would give the advice to try your best and even if you think won’t like a unit, go head and see if you actually do like it. I used this advise with the song writers unit. A goal to set for myself is to always a 95 or above an assessments.

My favorite reading unit was when we did our nonfiction reading. I loved getting to know about the Galapagos Islands and loved finding out a problem and fixing it. My favorite book of all time is A Crack in the Sea. I loved how there was a world where slaves could live in freedom and never run out of food. Last but least, my favorite writing project was writing my Revolutionary War essay on slavery because it shared what I truly think about slavery and made me think more about a big question; why couldn’t they just work themselves?
ReplyDeleteI learned that trying hard to make things be a little better so I can be proud of it. I would also tell all the rising the fourth graders that teamwork makes the dreamwork. Finally, my goal for next year is to be a little kinder to my friend. I want to be a better example. I want to seem like a good person. That is a goal I’m living for.

my favorite unit this year was the Rev war, my favorite book series is the alex rider series it was very interesting, my favorite writing piece was my bibliography. I learned to actually use punctuation and capital letters, and my advice to give to rising 4th graders is to take your time and you will do well, a goal i have for myself next year is to be better at writing

My favorite reading unit was poetry and my favorite writing unit was Realistic fiction writing. the best book I read this year was "Fudge-a-Mania" by Judy Blume. I learned how to use quotation marks correctly. my advice for the new 4th graders is to stay focused on your work or you might have to do it at recess, which has happened to me a few times. my goal for 5th grade is to be better at math.

My favorite reading unit was when I read Hatchet, because it was a hard journey for a kid. It was a great book with twists and turns. The best book I read this year was The Miraculous journey of Edward Tulane. That book had many stories in one.The people felt so real, I actually felt bad for them. I, also liked how we did the persuasive letter. That letter sadly didn't work, but it was fun to make!

My favorite reading unit was being in a book club. My favorite book I read this year is my second favorite book reading all time, Trouble Maker. Lastly, my favorite writing unit was realistic fiction.

I learned to reread my work and search for mistakes.
I would tell them never to give up and to try, try again.
My goal for next year is to try new types of writing and try to be more efficient.
