Christmas Traditions

Dear students,

Most families have special Christmas traditions. Write about one tradition your family enjoys. Does your mom bake a certain kind of cookie each year? Do you assemble shoe boxes filled with gifts for needy children? Chop down your own Christmas tree? Sing Christmas carols at a retirement home?Describe this tradition in at least a 5 sentence paragraph.
Be sure to include:
  • a topic sentence
  • supporting details
  • complete sentences
  • correct spelling, capitalization (M.I.N.T.S.), and end punctuation.
  • a closing sentence
  • three of your spelling words

Happy blogging,
Mrs. Eads

  5. In december, me and my grandfather Like to make chocolate fudge. I enjoy making fudge with him because he lets me stir the pot. He also lets me put the ingredients in the pot. My favorite part is at the end because there is still some chocolate in the pot and me and my grandfather like to get marshmallows and dip them in the leftover chocolate.

  8. One of my family traditions is to make reindeer food and leave cookies and milk for Santa and his reindeer. After I get out for Christmas break my grandmother and I bake cookies. We make thumb cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and sugar cookies. We put out 4 or 5 of those cookies on Christmas Eve. The reindeer food is made of dried oats and red and green sprinkles. Late at night we sprinkle the reindeer food out in the yard. We put cookies and milk by the fireplace.
That’s one of my Christmas traditions.
