Do You Carrot All For Me is about husband and a wife talking about themselves in vegetables.
ReplyDeleteThe Castle Of Fire is about dragons attacking a castle. And the knight is trying to find the dragon to fight. It also popped a picture into my head of people trying to escape the castle.
I choose The castle of fire because it had more detail than the other poet and it popped a picture into my head.
I think that Do You Carrot For me is about a carrot expressing himself. I like the words he uses and how he relates a lot of thing to vegetables. Over all this was a great poem.
ReplyDeleteI think that The Castle Of Fire is about a night saving a queen from a dragon. Also, I think that people were watching from the castle. I liked the rhyme scheme in this story. This was a really great poem over all.
Although both poems were great, I choose Do You Carrot For Me. I choose this one because of how he used vegetables as some of the words. Also, I love how the poet thought of vegetables to use, not humans.
The first poem,Do You Carrot All For Me?,is about how someone loves someone and they use fruits and vegetables to make it known.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem, The Castle in The Fire, is about how dragons were guarding a castle and a brave knight comes and fights them. Meanwhile, there is a lady stuck in the tower, and the knight saves her.
I choose Do You Carrot All For Me? as the winner because I enjoyed the fact that it made me laugh a lot. Also, this poem has a lot of imagery. For example, I could picture someone with a “radish face” and a “turnip nose”. This poem also has personification, because it says”Lettuce marry”. I know this is personification because lettuce can’t marry. Do You Carrot All For Me is definitely the winner!
The first poem (do you carrot all for me) is a silly poem about a carrot and about how he loves a different carrot. And it has amazing imagery and he uses different foods in the poems.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem( The castle in the fire) is about a castle that is on fire and there is a lady inside and a knight outside so when the castle burned down the lady and the man were o.k.
The winner is… Do you carrot all for me because it had great rhyme scheme and good imagery and the other poem is about dragons witch I don't like stories with dragons and I also thought it was funny because it was describing love with food. That's why I chose Do you carrot all for me.
The first poem The Castle In the Fire is about a fight between a knight and dragon. The knight is fighting the dragon and everyone watching is scared. When they the fight gets out of sight everyone watching is especially scared. Then when they see smoke rising. They are happy again because they see the knight running away. In this poem there is a lot of imagery. There is onomatopoeia for ex: Roar, crashed,. Also there is alliteration where it says a Lady Lovely face.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem Do You Carrot All For Me is about, someone who likes someone else but it is vegetables liking each other. There is imagery in this one because you can imagine in your head a vegetable talking to another one. I think that there is personification in this to because I think a vegetable is talking to another one. And I also think that this poem was written to entertain anyone who reads it.
I chose Do you carrot all for me as the winner because it is more entertaining and it was more written to give a laugh to the reader. And with all the writer's craft in it it seams like a poem for a reader who loves to read poems or read in general would love this poem.

I choose Do you carrot all for me as the winner because I like how she uses fruits when she talks. Also, I choose it because I think it means that sometimes you may think that God will hate you because of the bad things you have done, but he always loves you. One writer’s craft I saw was imagery. For example, when it says with your turnip nose and you radish face it really set a picture in my mind.Another writer’s craft is word play. For example, it uses the words carrot, beets, turnip, radish, peach, cantaloupe, lettuce, and pear. Writer’s craft made me understand this poem more.
First poem:Do you Carrot all for me I think that poem is a kindness lesson because it says,”My heart beets for you and that is why I like this story.
ReplyDeleteSecond Poem:I think The castle of fire is good because it has a good rhyme scheme when it says,”The slender lance and-tilting Thursting with skillful Might He charged the crouching dragons Ah it twas a beautiful fight.”

ReplyDeleteThe Castle in the Fire is about two dragons guarding a castle on fire. Then the Knight fought the dragons, but at the end the Knight and the lady drove away.
Even though these two poems would “ Make a swell pear,” I choose Do You Carrot All For Me.
I like this poem a lot because it uses imagery when they are talking about the food. It paints a picture in my head when they have the sentences with fruit. I makes me see all the colorful fruit. It also uses wordplay. Instead of saying,”Do you care at all for me?” He says,” Do you carrot all for me. I choose Do You Carrot All For Me.
Rollin I like how you said, "These would make a swell pear."

He killed the dragons and saved the lady. I think the rhyme scheme was ABAB. I liked how the author described the way the knight rode,”Thrusting with skillful might.”

ReplyDeleteThe second poem, Do you carrot all for me, was about some veggie that like another veggie. Also I liked the play on words.
I pick, do Carrot All for Me, because I really like the play on words/puns in the poem. Also I like veggies, plus it is way better than a girl who gets saved by a knight because we hear about that fairy tale all the time. It is called SHREK wink wink.
The poem Do You Carrot All For Me is about someone who is asking another person if they like them.
ReplyDeleteThe poem The Castle In The Fire is about a princes and a knight that fall in love.
I pick Do You Carrot All For Me because it has more coploments in it.one riters craft is word play.
Example: with your turnip nose. Another writer's craft would be imagery.
Example: when is says radish face.
The first one was about a person who is talking to a girl or boy. Saying will you marry me in a weird way with using the names of veggies.
ReplyDeleteThe second one was about a castle with a lady inside. A dragon is guarding the castle a knight is coming to save the lady. When the smoke clears the lady is riding on the knights house laughing Just kidding she is riding with the knight.

ReplyDeleteThe second poem, The castle in the fire, is about a knight who saves a princess in a burning tower.
I choose,The castle in the fire, as the winner. I chose this poem because it had a real meaning. This writer used a rhyme scheme of A A. This writer also imagery because it put a picture in my mind.

I think it used Imagery because it paints a picture in my mind for example when it sayed “With your turnip nose” I emagined a turnip as a nose on someone. Another Writer’s craft is Word play like when it said “If we cantelope” it meant if we cant elope.
The first poem, Do You Carrot All For Me?, is about a guy comparing his future wife to a vegetable or a fruit. He also says other things besides about his wife and explains them through a vegetable.
ReplyDeleteThe second poem, The Castle In The Fire, is about some people explaining a fight that they saw. They said that the knight was fighting the dragons, and then when a big crash happened, they could not see the knight. When The smoke cleared, they saw the lady with the knight.
I choose The Castle In The Fire because it made more sense than explaining everything as a fruit or veggie. The first type of writer’s craft is imagery because sense it makes more sense than the first poem, it paints a better picture in my mind. The second type of writer’s craft is rhyme scheme because in one part of the story it says, “ From out the smokey veil, A gallant knight came riding, dressed in a coat of mail;” and that is why I think it is the second one is rhyme scheme. These reasons are why I think The Castle In The Fire won!

The first poem, “Do you carrot all for me?” is about this person trying to marry someone, but the catch is that the person is using vegetable puns like for example, “Lettuce marry,” now those are some good puns! The poet uses word play and imagery because you can imagine the vegetables in your head!
The second poem, “The Castle in the Fire,” is about someone who walks up to an enchanted castle and finds a dragon guarding the castle. But the person who stumbled upon the castle finds a woman locked up in the castle. Then a knight comes and battles the dragon!!! They crashed together and when the smoke lifted they found the lady and the knight ride away. The poem uses alot of imagery, I mean they could make this into a movie or something! It has a rhyme scheme of AABBCCDDEEFF.
It was really, really, really close but I’m going to have to go with, “Do you carrot all for me,” I mean the poem, “Castle in the Fire,” is just your good old a knight saves a princess story. But there are not alot of poems with really good puns! As I said, “Do you carrot all for me,” uses imagery and really funny word play!!!

The fist poem called do you carrot for me is about a man or a carrot that cares for someone and is using personification to tell her how he cares for her and wants her to care for him. I like this because it used great personification for example, it said “ do you carrot for me? My heart beets for you, with your turnip nose, and your radish face, you are a peach, if we cantaloupe, lettuce marry, weed make a swell pear.” I also liked how it used metaphors. For example, “ and your radish face.”
