Dear students,
Each new year, two of my mentors challenge teachers to find their One Little Word (OLW). The OLW is one word that will represent, or symbolize, the year ahead. The word should be personal and thoughtful. My mentors spend weeks thinking about their OLW, making sure they select a word that will really guide them.
I have thought a great deal about my OLW. For 2018, I selected "trust" as my One Little Word. I selected "trust" because I don't always trust God's plan and try to make my own way. I need this word to remind me to trust not only His plan for me but also to trust in the strengths and talents He has blessed me with, rather than worry about the future. Trust can apply to my life in so many ways - through friends, work, my students, my family, myself, and ultimately, God's plan for me. I will use this word to guide me through the days of 2018.

TRUST. Trust is what I think is important. If you did something bad you should tell the truth instead of lying. Another thing maybe when I break something you have to be trusted to tell the truth about that. One other thing is when you do something bad you will have to tell the truth. That's why I think trust is important.

ReplyDeleteMy word for 2018 is “help.” The reason my word is help is because I want to help hold the door for my friends. I always see friends holding the door, so I should to. It would be a big help if I hold the door because sometimes nobody holds the door, and it falls on them. Another way I could help is when someone drops their stuff.
ReplyDeleteI have chosen my word and it is pray. I have chose that word because I think I should talk to God every morning and night, and I should even pray if I do a tiny sin even though it might happen a couple of times I am going to try my best to remember, and I even might put a sighn up to help. That is my word.

DeleteMy little word would be… faithful because sometimes I am not faithful in people, like for an example, one time when I was two, we at my hometown aquarium in California. We had just walked out and there was a fountain I thought it was a pool! You probably guessed it… I fell in the fountain and I could not really swim so… I had to have faith in God and well… my dad. But I did not really have faith in God or my dad… Well back to the story I guess, my dad scooped me up and I was actually safe! But I had learned a lesson that day… Always to have faith in family and in God!
