Dear students,
What exactly is a blog, and why are we using it in 4th grade? We will use the blog to communicate about different things we discuss in class. Our online posts will extend our conversations from class, and allow us to see what other classmates are thinking as well.
We will use the blog for many different things. Often I will write a post, and you will be asked to respond to it for homework. For example, we might post about different reading strategies, or use it to respond to poetry in the spring. However, this year I would also love to have students write a blog post, and classmates can respond to their post.
Today, I am interested in your thoughts about the blog. Please answer the following questions:
1. What excites you about the blog?
2. What questions do you have about the blog?
3. What ideas do you have for future blog posts or using the blog?
I look forward to reading your first blog response!
Your teacher,
Mrs. Eads

ReplyDeleteBooks are part of my life. If it is a strong book like Harry Potter I feel like I'm right there. I made a connection with Brian when he thought he was going to die. I thought I was going to die my first time on a plane. (Obviously I wasn't going to die.) One more connection was with Harry Potter. He had done something without knowing. I was playing soccer when I ran over someone without knowing. I felt a little bump but I didn't know. Books are a huge part of my life.
ReplyDeleteIf I made a new thanksgiving meal It would be a kurky. It would be glazed with ketchup and it would be great. A side dish for the kurky would be apple with marshmallows inside. This meal would be legendary. It would be the BEST THANKSGIVING MEAL EVER!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Mother To Son has a lot more meaning than Choosing Shoes. The whole entire poem is about how life isn't perfect. Anyways,it is a great poem.
ReplyDeleteI can make a connection with Mother To Son. Sometimes I am having a crystal staircase day but sometimes I can have a broken staircase day. There are so many people that live on the streets or in the projects that have a broken down staircase life.
I like Choosing Shoes writers craft. The rhyme scheme is AAABAAAB. It has a lot of dashes in between words that make it look like one word. 75% of the poem ends the line in shoes because they are describing new shoes every line. I get a modern feel when I read this poem.
Suprisingly, I choose Mother To Son as the winner.
