For your final blog posts, you will write a persuasive paragraph in a series called "Would You Rather." In each post, I will give you a scenario, and you will have to defend your answer using the following criteria:
- A topic sentence stating your opinion
- At least 3 supporting sentences defending your opinion
- One counter argument
- A concluding sentence summarizing your writing
Here is your "Would You Rather" for today:
Would you rather have a three-day weekend every week or have an extra month of summer vacation?

If I had the choice to have a three-day weekend every week or have an extra month of summer vacation, I would rather have a three-day weekend every week. If I had a three-day weekend instead of two days, I would get a lot more done! In addition, I would not have to work as much, and I could spend more time working out, shopping, reading, relaxing, and hanging out with my friends. Plus, I would not feel so rushed on my weekends. I could even go out of town for long weekends and visit family and friends! However, some may prefer an extra month of summer vacation because they could take longer trips. I think the benefits of longer weekends out weigh the benefits of an extra month of summer. I prefer having a three-day weekend rather than having another month of summer vacation.
If I had a choice to have a three day weekend or an extra month in Summer, I would rather have a three day weekend. First, I would have more time to get my homework done. Second, I could go on a two day trip and have time to get home on the third day. Finally, I could have a four day school week, so I would have less school. Some people would rather have an extra month for Summer because they have more times for camps that stuff, but more weekend outways more Summer. I would definitely choose more weekend over more Summer.

Another reason is I could get homework done in no rush. Finally I could go visit my grandparents in Knoxville and cousin in Birmingham.That is why I would rather have a three day weekend then a extra moth of summer

Because then we'd have more time of school, more time to go on trips, more time to be with family and friends, and more time to get school work done. That is why i'd rather have a three day weekend.

ReplyDeleteIf i had the choice of extra month of summer or three day weekend, I would pick three day weekend because you would have more time to do fun stuff. Like go on short trips and have more sleep overs. I would have much more time to do fun stuff for sure! That is why I would rather have a three day weekend.

If I had a choice of a three day weekend or an extra month of summer. I would pick an extra month for the summer so you can go on another trip and get to stay home. I would still do the extra month of summer. Some days I have to go to my parents office for summer days but I still choose an extra month of summer.

ReplyDeleteAlthough it would be fun to have a three day weekend I think it would be more fun to hang out at the pool instead of freezing in the snow. This is why I would rather have more summer than a three day weekend.
I would choose an extra month of summer. I would choose it because, first, I would have more summer vacation. Second, I would have more time to see my friends. Lastly, I could go to 2 sleep away camps. I would have chosen A 3 day weekend but I love sleep away camp. If I had a choice of a 3 day weekend or a extra month of summer I would choose a extra month of summer.
