Dear students,
What exactly is a blog, and why are we using it in 4th grade? We will use the blog to communicate about different things we discuss in class. Our online posts will extend our conversations from class, and allow us to see what other classmates are thinking as well.
We will use the blog for many different things. Often I will write a post, and you will be asked to respond to it for homework. For example, we might post about different reading strategies, or use it to respond to poetry in the spring. However, this year I would also love to have students write a blog post, and classmates can respond to their post.
Today, I am interested in your thoughts about the blog. Please answer the following questions:
1. What excites you about the blog?
2. What questions do you have about the blog?
3. What ideas do you have for future blog posts or using the blog?

ReplyDeleteResponse to question 1: What excites me about this blog is that I know this is a rare occasional thing that not all schools do! I also love how this year we are using a lot of technology this year.

DeleteI like reading good books.There have been a lot of books I like.I like books about sports,famous people and more.I like a lot of characters.I really like Hairy Potter.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin and I would have the best day ever! My cousin is named Parker and is in seventh grade. The first thing Parker and I would do would be to wake up really early and play a big game of hide and go seek. Then, we could go to a farm and play paintball and airsoft. After that we would go to a vols game and watch them beat the Florida Gators by ten touchdowns. Next, we would go to a lake and tube, water ski, kneeboard, and relax out on the lake. Finally, we would go to Sam's, a sports bar, for dinner. Now we still have a bunch of time left because it is not late. Next we'll go home and in an hour we will have made a jetpack and rocket boots, and we would fly over music city and see all the lights. The last thing we would do is go sky diving at midnight. That would be the best day ever!!

DeleteIf I were a teacher for a day I would go to school in a limousine with a hot tube, a ball pit, and filled with lots and lots of candy. We would drive around town and see what we could find. We would go to Dave and Busters, the movies, the ice cream store, and maybe canoeing. Then we would go to my house and have soda and cookies. Everyone would call me De Boss. It would be epic. After we would go back to school and have to hours of recess. Everyone would have a blast.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a monkey I would name him ToBEI0.He would play sports and will do what ever I say.We would get a lot of candy and eat it.He would go to school with me,and we would have so much fun.It would be great to have ToBEI0 for a day!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Roger the dog was about a dog who does a lot of different things like hogs the fire,can roll him on your foot,snore and more I think the falling star was a short story about a star falling I voted for Roger the dog because I like dogs.
