Students,
We have had some insightful conversations on our blog. We have discussed reading strategies, characters from our books, and compared and contrasted different ideas. Phew! I'm exhausted just thinking about it!
Now, let's have a different kind of conversation and give you all the opportunity to have some creative writing. I would like about the following prompt:
Imagine that for one day only you could have a pet monkey! What would you do with you pet? What would you name him/her? What adventures would you two have? Please describe your day with your new friend.
Remember, students, to watch out for run-ons, and to write in complete sentences. I look forward to reading your comments!

If I had a pet monkey I would name him Chuck. We would go to the zoo to see his monkey brothers. Then we would go to the Titans stadium and play withe the Titans. Then we would go to the Rain forest Cafe. Once we are done we'll go play at Dave and Busters. And then to end the day we'll go play paintball. So I think if I had a monkey it would be a fun day.
ReplyDeleteI would start off the day with my pet monkey named Bob by going to the Pancake Pantry.Then we would go throw snow balls at people and cars.After that we would go home and eat lunch.Then Bob and I both scored 3 touchdowns and won the game 42 to 21.

DeleteMy monkey would be named Wonka. To start our day off, I took Wonka to MAC at the mall. But, Wonka knocked off the make-up on the shelfs and made a mess of lipstick on his face. "Come out, Wonka! Right now!" I scolded at him, but his cute monkey eyes didn't keep me mad for long. I decided to treat us to Fuzzy Wigs,the candy store, at the mall. I got a Milky way bar and Wonka got all the MnM's he could carry. Then, he gobbled them up in a second! After that, we drove over to Dick's. We had a 200 $ gift card and I got Wonka a Sea Hawks jersey for the Super Bowl. I also got him KD's that were neon pink! After that, we headed over to the movies and watched Paddington. Then, after the movie, we went home and played a big game of soccer! It was the best Monkey-Girl day ever!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a pet monkey I would take him to school. I would eat with him. I would play with him. His name would be Bo Bo Monkey Joe. I would buy him a car. The car would look like a banana. I would buy him a jet pack. We would have so much fun.

I would take him on an adventure to the...ZOO!!!After after all that I would take him to a Major league baseball game. Finally I would take him to see the movie... The HOBBIT Battle of the Five Armies.
ReplyDeleteToday I had the best day with my pet monkey named Hingle Mcringleberry. We played Xbox and went Sugardive. We got so much candy and cake that we barfed. Then we prank called McDonalds and KFC to warn that Aunt Sharen got out again. After that we wrestled Brock Lesnar and won. We were so tired. Finally we had a food fight on the moon. It was the best day ever!

DeleteIf I could have a pet monkey his name would be James. I would start the day by eating pancakes with syrup. After we ate we walked around the city and bought everything under 500 dollars. We went to Wendy's and James asked for a Big Mac they said "The didn't have Big Macs." and that made James mad. There was a Baskin Robins next door so we went there and bought a huge milkshake. To finish the day we found a taxi and told the driver to take us to the middle of nowhere so that we could go to sleep in peace. Today was the best day ever.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a monkey, I would name it Joe. We would play outside everyday. I would let him ride on my shoulder when we went on a walk. In the morning, we would split up. I would go to school and Joe would go to Monkey Joe's. We would go to the Sugar Dive after school, and eat all the candy we could. When we got home, we would eat a whole lobster. When the lobster was gone, we would go to sleep. We would sleep all night. If I had a monkey, it would be a fun life.
ReplyDeleteToday I got a pet monkey. I named him sassgwash for a very good reason . He is hairy. We would run in the fields, climb tree's and eat. We would eat cheese burgers,eat bacon,eat pizza and eat more bacon. So that's the adventure me and my monkey had today.

DeleteIf I had a monkey, I would name him Tilly. We would play outside, and build a tree house with a zip line. We would play all day. When I have to go to school, Tilly would play on the monkey bars. When school was over we would ride our skate boards to the Sugar Dive and eat as much candy as we could. Then at home we would play video games and eat what ever we wanted. If I had a monkey it would be a good life.
ReplyDeleteI have an awesome monkey named DeBomb! We would go in the jungle and swing on the branches. We would go in the jungle and swing on branches. We would go get ice cream and go to the movies. Then, we would make banana smoothies.. That is how we would spend our day.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a Monkey I would name it Tiny. Tiny would be a Type of Monkey that is 5 inches tall! First, Tiny and I would go to the mall and I would get her some tiny monkey clothes. Then we would go to the ice-cream store, and Tiny would get a extra, extra small cup of ice cream and I would get a extra, extra large cup of ice cream. I would carry her in my pocket on the way home. (She could fit in my pocket because she is 5 inches tall.) Then Tiny would teach me how to climb high trees. For dinner, Tiny would have banana slices, and I would have pasta! YUM! Having a Monkey would be fun...but, I would have to keep it away from my dogs!
ReplyDeleteI have the best pet monkey named Ginger. One of the things that Ginger and I want to do is plan our day at the zoo. First we would see the giraffes and comment on how long their necks are. Next we would go to the reptile exhibit (Ginger is in love with the snakes). Then we would see the monkeys, of course! We would probably then have a snack, of lemonade and chocolate chip cookies. After that, we would go home and talk about our adventures that we had at the zoo.
ReplyDeleteMy best monkey friend is Meker. Me and Meker will clime up the roof,I almost broke my back. He is a vary picky eater, I get vary angry. All he eats is Bananas! My mom gets vary mad because he swings on the chandelier all the time. She wants to get rid of him. So that is my pet MEKER!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is what I do with my monkey. We will go to the zoo to see Banana's friends. Then we went to Kroger to get Banana's favorite food:bananas. Me and Banana go to Claire's to get a tiara and she will wear it to Grace's and Missy's house. Then we rent a R.V and go to Florida. That is how I spend my day with Banana.
ReplyDeleteMy monkey Coco is very active. On our day together we will do many things. First we will go hiking at Radnor Lake. After that we will go to the zoo to see all the animals. Next, on our list is the the roller skating rink. Lastly, to end our day, we will go to the mall and the Cheese Cake Factory for dinner. We did so much today and that proves that Coco is very,very active.
ReplyDeleteI have the best pet monkey named Missy. She wears a silky pink tutu, pretty pink bows on each ear, diamond earrings, and a pink bow on her tail. We love to play a card or a board game on a lazy Sunday afternoon after church. On weekdays, we like to go rollerskating in the park, or we go to Clair's so Missy can pick out a fancy tiara and a pair of earrings. Then Missy will wear her new tiara and earrings back home to meet up with Banana and Sinclair. After that Sinclair, Banana, Missy and me will rent a fancy R.V. and drive to Florida in it. That is what I would I would do if I had a pet monkey.

DeleteToday I got a pet monkey. I named him Mr Monkey. I kept him around my neck all day. We went to a hardware store and got wood and tools and then we built stuff. Next we would go to the purple cow and get candy. Then we would go to the house and play soccer. Finally we would go to bed. It was fun.
ReplyDeleteMy monkey, named Cornielius funk is the coolest ever! We love to go skateboarding and we love to play football. Cornielius is pretty big, so I ride on his back a lot. He is also 5 years old. that is why Cornielius funk is my best friend.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a pet monkey, there would be many things that I would want to do with it. I would name him Taco.First, we would go to Taco Bell and get a bunch of tacos. Then we would go to a grocery and get corn, apples, beets, ham, bread, bananas, noodles, soup, nuts, and bird seed. Next we would give the birds their bird seed. Then we would cook up a really big feast and invite the neighbors over to eat it with us. Then we would get some left overs and go night fishing. If we had caught any fish, we would save it. Next we would watch TV and then go to bed. I wish I could have a pet monkey for one day.

DeleteIf I had a monkey, I would name him Jabariay Figalo Banana. We would eat bananas and drink banana dacquris. Then we would play paint ball with banana paint ball guns. After that we would go to the store and buy Jabariay Figlo Banana KD7's with bananas on them. I would also buy him a jacuzi with a diving board and a slide. I think Jabariay Figlo Banana and I would have the best day ever!
ReplyDeleteMy monkey, Cornelius banana is the best monkey ever! He would have long shaggy legs and eat bananas.When we first woke up, we would make sticky bananas and banana pies. After that we would go on a climb in the trees. Next, for lunch, we would eat plantain sandwiches and nap. After an hour nap, we would jump in the jacoozie and drink banana martinis for kids. Finally we would start up the grill and have banana burgers, watch a movie, and sleep. In my opinion, that would be the best day ever,
ReplyDeleteI have the best pet ever! His name is Captain Huggy Face, and he is a monkey. Huggy and I are best buddies! We sleep late every morning. Then we eat breakfast. We usually eat blueberry waffles and bacon. After that we went to our art class. Huggy does not understand art very well. He seems to aim his paint brush at anything but his paper, and the art teacher often ends up covered in paint. Then we ate lunch at "Subway" for lunch. Then we went to the petting zoo. Huggy was not so successful there either. Huggy thought the box turtles were bouncing balls. The turtles did not approve of that. Then we went to "Pizza Palace," and we threw bananas at our waiter. It was Huggy's idea. Then we went home. Huggy tried to make banana smoothies, but he forgot to put the top on the blender and turned the kitchen into a winter wonder land. Then he tried to grill burgers, but he nearly burned our house down. So we ordered s pizza instead. Huggy is truly the best!
